CEO of Hardt Hyperloop

Bertrand joined the team of the four founders of Hardt Hyperloop a year ago, to bring seniority to the team and guide the company through its scale-up challenges. After about 30 years of corporate life, of which many years in executive positions, his focus has shifted to enabling technology in support of the large transitions, such the energy transition, moving towards a circular economy and now mobility. As hands-on investor, Hardt fits perfectly in his ambition to create impact by bringing technology to the market as quick as possible.

Hardt is a European Hyperloop technology company that has realized Europe’s first hyperloop test facility, has proven essential hyperloop technologies, and is now developing the European Hyperloop Centre in an open innovation  approach.

Hardt Hyperloop has attracted over EUR 25 million of investment until now. EIT InnoEnergy introduced Hardt Hyperloop to potential partners and provided it with essential funding. In April 2019, Hardt Hyperloop signed a strategic deal with EIT InnoEnergy. A sizeable investment, introductions to EIT InnoEnergy’s ecosystem of 430 industry partners as well as access to its commercial resources, helped Hardt Hyperloop to fast track the demonstration of Europe’s first hyperloop test facility. In October 2021, the company was awarded 15 million by the EIC Acceleratorof the European Innovation Council, to help Hardt and its public and private partners to accelerate the development of the hyperloop.
