Prof Hans Wandall has been investigating how glycans impinge on cells during tissue development, host-pathogen interactions with emphasis on viral infections, aiming to early detection and treatment of disease. In addition, he develops new methods to detect mutations in glycogenes and to investigate what changes these infer on the glycome and cellular processes using novel mass spec technologies.
