Dr Joana Gaspar de Freitas, University of Lisbon, Faculty of Letters, Portugal
PhD in Contemporary History, Joana Freitas is leading the ERC project DUNES. Her research interests lie in the environmental history of coastal zones, considering risk and vulnerability, climate change adaptation and coastal management. She is co-editor of the journal Coasta Studies and Society. She was a Rachel Carson Center Fellow in 2015 and a Linda Hall Library Fellow in 2014.
