Katerina Karakasidou is a Scientific Officer in the European Programmes Department of the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of Cyprus, the national authority in charge of supporting and promoting research, technological development and innovation. She is the National Contact Point (NCP) of Cyprus and Programme Committee Member for the European Research Council (ERC) and for Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society” of Horizon Europe, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027. She is also National Coordinator (CNC) for COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), a funding organisation supporting the networking of researchers in Europe and beyond. She holds an MSc in Management of Science, Technology and Innovation from the University of Manchester and has previously worked as a researcher in the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, in the areas of science, technology and innovation policy and as a consultant.
