Kris Verheyen is a senior full professor Forest Ecology and Management and chair of the Department of Environment at Ghent University. His research, focusing among others on forest biodiversity and the effects of multiple global change drivers on forests, led to a new research line, where his team, with many others, study the relationships between forest biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.
