Prof. Michał Daszykowski scientific interests focus on the development and use of chemometric approaches facilitating the analysis of chemical data, particularly the analysis of complex instrumental signals obtained using various analytical platforms and multi-channel detectors. So far, he has published 78 articles and ten chapters in monographs. According to Google Scholar, his Hirsch index and the number of citations are 35 and 4966, respectively. In 2000–2004, he completed an internship and a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analyzes at the Free University of Brussels. At that time, as part of the ChemoAC Consortium (Free University of Brussels), he collaborated scientifically with companies such as Shell, Johnson & Johnson, and Unilever. He is a laureate of a prestigious scholarship for young scientists awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science in 2005 and a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland for outstanding young scientists (2010). On a daily basis, he reviews articles for many scientific journals, where issues of chemical nature and chemical data analysis are discussed. He is also a member of the editorial board of the journals Acta Chromatographica and Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems.
