In September 2014, the ERC Executive Agency in collaboration with the ERC Scientific Council Working Group on Open Accessorganised a 2-day workshop on 'Research Data Management and Sharing' to explore this important topic together with ERC grantees and other researchers, with representatives from funding bodies, universities and other research performers, with publishers, policy makers and other interested parties.

With close to 150 registrations from across Europe (and several more on the reserve list that could not be admitted anymore) the workshop proved to be extremely popular, showing the timeliness and importance of the topics that were discussed

The presentations (with very few exceptions) are available from within the programme below. The ERC Scientific Council Working Group on Open Access also plans to elaborate a short document with recommendations related to Research Data Management and Sharing, based on the outcomes of the workshop. That document will then also be published on this page.
