Eeva Puumala is a senior research fellow in social policy in the Unit of Social Research at Tampere University. Her work centres around questions of community, participation, and societal change that she studies from the perspective of the everyday. On these topics, she currently leads the ERC-funded EmergentCommunity project. Puumala’s research is characterised by the combination of conceptual development and empirical explorations, as well as methodological experimentation. Her work has been published in several international journals, such as Environment and Planning C, Discourse Studies, Body & Society, and Journal of Urbanism.
