Does my event need to be during the ERC Week (13-19 March)?
No, the date is given as a reference point to establish a link with the Brussels celebrations. However, the events can take place at any moment during 2017.
What sort of event can I organise?
We welcome any kind of format. Below are some suggestions, but any idea is encouraged.
- A scientific conference, round table or press conference involving ERC grantees hosted by your institution
- “ERC days” in universities or other remarkable premises such as science museums in your country to attract the public and visitors interested in ERC-funded science
- A “get together” event focusing on Research and Innovation topics with invited ERC grantees and key opinion leaders
- An article in a national or regional newspaper
- A TV or radio programme
How can the ERC support me for ERC Week?
We have made available some templates for promotional material (logo, posters, banners, PowerPoint templates) that can help for the preparation of your event. This should allow you to print anything according to need. We can also provide some key facts about the ERC and some country sheets. No financial help is provided by the ERC to cover the organisational costs.
Whom should I inform?
Because several events are already underway, the best is to coordinate with the ERC National Contact Point from your country.
