Marija is Professor of Transnational Private Law at the Amsterdam Law School. She is also a Director of the Amsterdam Centre for Transformative Private Law, the editor of European Law Open and a founding Co-president of European Law Unbound - Society. Marija is a Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant ‘Law as a Vehicle of Social Change: Mainstreaming Non-Extractive Economic Practices (N-EXTLAW)’. Within the context of this research project, she has recently published an open access monograph 'Reimagining Prosperity: Towards a New Imaginary of Law and Political Economy in the EU’ (Cambridge University Press, 2024).
