The Ambassadors for the ERC are ERC grantees who help promote the value of frontier research and scientific excellence and raise awareness of the mission and funding opportunities of the European Research Council (ERC). The initiative, established jointly by the ERC and the Association of ERC Grantees (AERG), connects ERC-funded researchers with national research and policy communities across Europe.
The Ambassadors act as advocates for frontier research, engaging with policymakers, the media, researchers and the wider public. Working in collaboration with the ERC National Contact Points (NCPs), they help strengthen awareness of ERC funding and highlight the importance of investigator-driven research for Europe’s scientific and societal future.
