Mihai Tomescu

Mihai Tomescu is working as energy expert in the European Environment Agency’s (EEA’s) Climate Department. His work cuts across climate change mitigation and the transformation of the EU energy system, where renewable energy and energy efficiency represent key opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Mihai is trained as an economist and holds an MSc in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University. Formerly, he has been a civil servant in the European Commission, where he worked on diverse topics related to energy and environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
