11:45 I Closing remarks and end of the ceremony

The Award ceremony was initially scheduled to take place at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Trieste, Italy, on 7 July 2020. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak since March 2020 in Europe, many events across the world have been either rescheduled, converted to virtual events or cancelled. The ERC decided to keep the initial announcement date and to convert the ceremony into a virtual event which will be live streamed. The ERC Public Engagement with Research Award aims to recognize and celebrate ERC grantees who have demonstrated excellence in public engagement and outreach.
