The University of Split and its STIM Centre of Excellence, together with the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs and the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, with the support of the Association of ERC Grantees (AERG), are organising an international workshop on ERC grants.

The workshop “Building ERC-Competitive Research: Lessons from Croatia” will take place on 7–8 September 2026 at the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) in Split.

The event program will bring together representatives of scientific and higher education institutions from Croatia, Widening countries and the Western Balkans.

Participants will learn about ERC funding and evaluation, competitive proposal preparation and practical strategies for ERC success, including successful and unsuccessful applications.

Registration for both online and onsite participation is open until 25 August 2026.
