Daniel Dolev
Dolev holds the Berthold Badler Chair in Computer Science at the Benin School of Computer Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Hebrew University. Prof. Dolev is heading the Authority for Information and Communication. His main research areas include distributed algorithms, computer networks, reliability of distributed systems, synchronization protocols and security. Prof. Dolev has published hundreds of papers in peer reviewed journals and leading conferences. He is named a "Highly Cited Scientist", the Institute of Scientific Information. His research has had an impact both on theory and practice in Computer Science. He was the chairman of the Committee for Quality Assessment of Computer Science, the Planning and Budgeting Committee, the council for Higher Edcation. He was the chairman of the National Committee for Information Technology and Infrastructure of Israel. He co-authored with Knesset Member M. Eitan the position document on Israel’s readiness to the Information Era. Prof. Dolev is an ACM fellow and received the Dijkstra Award.
