Carolina Ávila is an Ethics Call Coordinator at the Scientific Department of the European Research Council Executive Agency. She has a background in Psychology by the University of Porto, Portugal, and a Ph.D. by the Department of Psychiatry of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM).
She started her career in EU-funded research as a Marie Curie Fellow in FP6 and has since gained experience as a researcher as well as in project management at a national research agency and now at a funding agency. Carolina still maintains her passion for mental health and child development.
