Christina Cheimonidi

Dr. Maria Christina Cheimonidi is a molecular biologist specialized in AI-driven diagnostics for type II diabetes and breast cancer. As a former postdoctoral researcher, she has published widely in open-access, peer-reviewed journals. She also co-founded a prize-winning biotech start-up focused on biomarker discovery and druggable targets using machine learning. Since 2023, she has served as a National Contact Point for ERC, EIC, and MSCA programmes at PRAXI Network/FORTH providing information and raising awareness while supporting researchers and companies get funding. She is also active in project implementation specifically for NCP CSA projects.
