Hristo L. Svilenov
 
        Dr. Hristo L. Svilenov is an ERC Starting Grant holder and Associate Professor at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on the development, formulation, and manufacturing of novel biotherapeutics. Prior to his current position, he served as an
Associate Professor at Ghent University in Belgium. Dr. Svilenov did his postdoctoral training in the group of Prof. Johannes Buchner at the Technical University of Munich, supported by the Peter and Traudl Engelhorn Fellowship and the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation. He completed his PhD at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich under Prof. Gerhard Winter, funded by a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship. Dr. Svilenov defended his dissertation with the highest distinction (summa cum laude) and was honored with the AbbVie Prize and the Carl-Wilhelm-Scheele Award of the German Pharmaceutical Society. He is also a co-founder of the company Praimera Biotech and a scientific advisor at Coriolis Pharma.
