Ioannis Dimitrakopoulos

Ioannis Dimitrakopoulos is the Scientific Advisor of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). His areas of expertise include issues of equality and non-discrimination, Roma inclusion, the rights of the child and socio-economic rights. He studied sociology in the UK and since the mid-1980s he worked in academic institutions, where he lectured and conducted or coordinated national and transnational research projects. Since 2003, when he started working for the Agency, he has been heading its research and was responsible for several of its major research projects and publications.
