John Palmer

John Palmer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he leads the ERC-funded Human-Mosquito Interaction Project. The project explores the socio-ecological context of mosquito-borne disease, focusing on the host-vector networks through which pathogens flow and the ways in which these networks are shaped by mobility. 

 John's broader research interests are in human movement and migration, inequality, and health. He is the co-director of the Mosquito Alert citizen science platform and a member of the Socio-Demography Research Group. His training is in ecology, law, and demography.
