Kris Verheyen is a senior full professor in Forest Ecology and Management and chair of the Department of Environment at Ghent University (Belgium). His team at the Forest & Nature Lab focuses, among others, on getting a better understanding of the functional role of biodiversity in managed systems, like forests and agricultural landscapes. He obtained an ERC Consolidator Grant and a Proof of Concept Grant.
