Laura Visu-Petra is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU), coordinator of the Master in Legal Psychology and director of the Research in Individual Differences and Legal Psychology Lab (RIDDLE Lab). She has a sustained activity as an evaluator for the European Research Council, being invited for a full mandate (4 times) in the SH4 Human Mind and its Complexity – ERC Consolidator panel (twice as Panel Deputy Chair). She is also a reviewer for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships programme. For her work investigating individual differences in anxiety and their impact on cognitive functioning, she received the Early Career Award from the Stress and Anxiety Research Society. Her research on deception across the lifespan led to multiple Q1 publications and the Scientific Excellence Award from BBU. She is a scientific expert within the Horizon Support Centre (CeSo2020-UBB) to encourage and support the elaboration of research-development-innovation projects.
