Maria Onorato

Maria Onorato is a Research Adviser at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. She supports the development and submission of research proposals under European funding programmes, in particular she is dedicated to the ERC since 2012. She is project manager for ERC@PoliTo, an initiative promoted by Politecnico di Torino to support excellent young researchers with the objective of improving their participation to the ERC and facilitate the management aspects for ERC grant winners. She has also the role of contact person for the support to Italian national calls for basic and curiosity driven research such as Prin/FISR/National_ERC/FARE. Moreover, she operates as technical consultant for the understanding of the ethical requirements rules and evaluation procedures of national and international funding agencies.
Graduated in Physics at the University of Torino (Italy), she has 13 years of experience in the automotive private sector (Fiat Research Centre and Lear Corporation) and 12 in the public sector (University). She has been involved in several international visiting experiences, both for education and work purpose, at Fermilab as INFN-Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare staff member (Chicago, USA), at the Lear Corporation Head Quarter and relative Plant Fiat divisions (USA, Brazil, Poland, Turkey), at Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia).
