Marko Šestan

Marko Šestan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. He teaches in both graduate and postgraduate programs. Throughout his scientific career, he has published numerous papers in leading international journals in the field of immunology, with a notable publication in Science. He has led several national and international research projects, most prominently as the recipient of an ERC Starting Grant. His achievements have been recognized with the State Award for Science, the University of Rijeka Award, and the prestigious EMBO fellowship for postdoctoral training at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown in Lisbon, Portugal.
