Mojca Boc

Since 2016, Mojca Boc has been leading the Sector for International Cooperation, Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency. Her day-to-day work includes the preparation and implementation of mechanisms to promote international scientific research in a wide variety of forms, from bilateral, mobility cooperation, to the promotion of applications for European and Lead Agency projects. Mojca Boc is also National Cost Coordinator for COST.
Since Mojca Boc is leading the Department for International Cooperation the agency has significantly increased the opportunities for researchers in the field of international cooperation. Cooperation based on the principle of a Lead Agency with neighbourhood countries was extended to Weave, international cooperation with PRIMA was established, mobility bilateral cooperation was expanded, three new ERC support instruments were introduced to encourage applications to European framework programs, and co-financing began according to the principle of the Seal of Excellence for Marie Skłodowska–Curie projects.
Before starting her work at the agency, Mojca Boc was employed at the ministry responsible for science, where she was responsible for funding of science, and at the same time she was the NCP for financial and legal issues for Horizon 2020.
Her work experience is also in the field of economy. She worked at the Slovenian oil company Petrol in controlling, where she led project groups and she gained her first work experience in the field of insurance, where she participated in establishing a system of additional pension insurance and was fully responsible for insurance contracts for companies.
