Mojca M. Plesničar

Mojca M. Plesničar is a Senior Research Associate and Deputy Director at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, where she is also Associate Professor of Criminology. Her research focuses on sentencing, judicial decision-making, punishment and criminal justice, combining legal and empirical approaches. She is the Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant SENTRIX, which examines how legal, procedural, institutional and human factors shape sentencing decisions across different systems. She has worked extensively on comparative criminal justice research and currently serves as an ERC Ambassador for Slovenia.
