Once again, the European Research Council will be attending the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), this time in Washington, DC. This is the world’s largest general scientific gathering, welcoming scientists, educators, policymakers, and journalists gathers to discuss cutting-edge developments in science, technology, and policy.

The ERC will be present with the EU booth in the exhibition halls. It will also hold two sessions:

Friday 15 February – 10AM – 11.30 AM
“Research Funding: exploring programs in the European Union”
Here, researchers will be able to ask more about the funding opportunities offered by European Commission under the Horizon2020 program.

Sunday 17 February - 10AM – 11.30 AM
“How new technology affects society”
ERC grantees Balasz Bodo, Philip Howard and Sarti Kraus will discuss the effects of blockchain technologies, computational propaganda, and robotics on society at large.
