Session: Funding Opportunities from the European Research Council: Supporting Top Researchers from Anywhere in the World
Location: Theater 4, Learning Centre – San Diego Convention Centre
The European Research Council, set up in 2007, is the first pan European funding organization for excellent frontier research. The ERC is already shaping Europe's research scene and is highly regarded by the international research community, establishing itself as a world-class research funding agency. Through highly selective competitions for attractive grants, the ERC promotes junior and established researchers to pursue their work in Europe in any field of research and regardless of their nationality. To date, more than 8000 researchers at various stages of their careers have been funded.
The session will present the different ERC funding schemes and ERC Grantees will be present to share their experience with these funding initiatives and answer questions from the audience.
