Member of the ERC Scientific Council re-appointed

Today, the European Commission re-appointed Prof. Sylvie Lorente as a member of the Scientific Council, the governing body of the European Research Council (ERC). Following four years as a member of the Scientific Council, her mandate has now been renewed for another two years, starting on 1 July.

The ERC Scientific Council is composed of 22 distinguished scientists and scholars representing the European scientific community. Their main role is to set the ERC strategy and to select the peer review evaluators. The ERC and the Scientific Council are chaired by the ERC President, Maria Leptin.
