The speakers will decode the complex world we live in and its mysteries. Guides, manuals, maps show us where we should go and where we set out from. They also show us where we are relative to the things around us. Without maps we would get lost. Physics, medicine, genetics, archaeology are all using maps and symbols to explain the world.
This year, five ERC grantees have been invited by TEDx Brussels to present their research:
- Christopher Pissarides, 2010 Nobel prize in Economics
- Jonathan Coleman, Leading researcher in Material Science
- Ulf Leonhardt, Expert in “Invisibility Science”
- Laura Robinson, Ocean Scientist
- Tiziana Rossetto, Earthquake Researcher
