ERC at "Summer Davos", China: Shaping innovative societies in the fourth industrial revolution

This year, the ERC takes part in the "Summer Davos" for the seventh year running. ERC President Prof. Jean-Pierre Bourguignon and eleven ERC grantees, leaders in their respective fields, will speak in eleven sessions on a variety of compelling topics such as nutrition and exercise, language acquisition and the neurosciences of hearing.

Jean-Pierre Bourguignon will speak in a panel on “Standing up for Science” (Tuesday 18 Sep. 12:30-13:15).
There will be a dedicated ERC Ideas Lab, "The Science of Language and Music " (Tuesday 18 Sep. 15:00-16:15) with ERC grantees Jean-Julien Aucouturier, Fang Liu and Sabine Stoll, and an introduction by Jean-Pierre Bourguignon.

From nutrition to exercise, European researchers are breaking new ground in the field of health. With very different approaches they are pushing the frontiers of knowledge and are set to contribute in the fight against our most common diseases from obesity to diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
